Where is it???
By Car: Find your way onto the A2 (Junction 2 of the M25). This then becomes the A102M. Leave at the junction after the A2 exit and turn right at the roundabout onto the A206. You will then pass a big set of traffic lights, followed by a roundabout. Go right around this roundabout to come back on yourself and take the first left onto Charlton Lane. After cossing the railway, turn right into Harvey Gardens. The stadium is here, on your left.
By Rail: Charlton railway station is just a short walk from the ground.
Trivia
In Charlton's early years, they used to treat their opponents to a fish supper after games. In Estuary English, an 'Addick is the next best thing to a Haddock. Since then, they've been known as the Addicks.
The first ever substitution in the Football League took place on 21/08/1965 in a match between Charlton and the hosts, Bolton Wanderers. Keith Peacock came on for the Addicks keeper, Mike Rose on 11 minutes after he was injured. Between 1965 and 1967, substitutes were only allowed to replace injured players, and only one per match was allowed.
