Where is it???
By Car (From M5): Take Junction 11A onto the A417 (London, Cirencester). Follow this road until you get to roudabout on top of a large, steep hill.

On your right, you should see a pub called 'The Airballoon'. At this roundabout, take a right. This takes you past Birdlip and past Nettleton, a very small village at the bottom of a hill with not a lot there other than a pub, followed by a hill back up.

When you get back up to the top of this next hill, you come to a roundabout. At this roundabout, take the first exit, still following the A417.
This takes you straight past Cirencester and the Cotswold Water Park.

Keep on that road and you'll soon come across Blunsdon Hill. You'll know its Blunsdon Hill beacause it's fairly steep and well lit. At the top of the hill, you'll find a pub called 'The Cold Harbour'. You should then come across the Turnpike roundabout, which has a service station (Currently closed).

At this roundabout, take the road signposted 'A419'. Follow the A419 until you get to the junction signposted 'A420 -Oxford'.

At the bottom of this junction, you'll come across another roundabout. At this one, take the 4th exit (right). On your left, there should be a pub called 'The White Hart'.

Along this road, take care and watch out for the speed camera's (30mph). At the end, you'll come across a roundabout.

Take the 2nd exit towards the town centre. Follow this road until you pass 3 sets of traffic lights. At the fourth set, take a right turn onto Ocotal way.

On your left, you should see St. Joeseph's Roman Catholic School. Follow this road past two sets of traffic lights. At the third, turn right onto Shrivenham Road.

This is the ideal place for parking because its free and is only a 5 min walk from Swindon's Tesco's Extra and the County Ground. There is plenty of street parking on Shriveham Road, Briar Fields, Wills Avenue or Copse Avenue.

By Car (from M4): Take junction 15 and follow the A419 for one junction (signposted Town Centre).

This takes you past the new Great Western Hospital (to your left).

At the Coate Water roundabout (The Sun Inn comes just before), go straight on along Queens Drive (the other dual carriageway).

Watch out for the speed camera's along here.

Eventually, when you come to a roundabout (with the temptation to go straight on, towards the County Ground), turn right onto Drakes Way.

At the first opportunity, take a left, along Ocotal way.

On your left, you should see St. Joeseph's Roman Catholic School. Follow this road past two sets of traffic lights. At the third, turn right onto Shrivenham Road.

By Car (from A420): From Oxford (the place that shouldn't be mentioned on this part of the site), follow the A420 to the roundabout by Swindon's Gablecross police Station, Sainsbury's and other retail stores.

At this roundabout, go straight over until you reach the next roundabout.

Make sure that you get in the correct lane towards the Town Centre (make sure to look at signs above the road). You need the third exit (just after the White Hart pub).

Be carefull on this roundabout because there will almost certainly be a couple of cars in the wrong lanes.

By Rail: Swindon Railway Station is located just a 10-15 minute walk from the ground. Leave the station and cross the road. Follow the road infront (between the two pubs; Great Western and Queen's Tap). Turn left at the end of the road. This takes you to the bus station. Keep following that road (Manchester Road), past the traffic lights and to the end. Here, the road meets County Road. Turn right and cross the road at the traffic lights. The County Ground is on the left just behind the County Ground Inn (strictly home supporters only).

Trivia
During WWII, the County Ground was used as a POW camp
