Where is it???
By Car: Leave the A1 at Junction 62 and take the A690 towards Sunderland. After approxiamtely 8 miles, you will reach a roundabout. Turn left here, onto the A19, signposted 'Tyne Tunnel'. Keep in the left hand lane and take the second sliproad, towards Sunderland. You will then cross the River Wear. Turn right after this bridge, onto the A1231, following signs to Sunderland. Go straight over four roundabouts. Then head through two sets of roundabouts. Keep in theleft hand lane at the second set of lights, and head towards Roker park, not the City Centre. You will then see the car park on your right in about a mile.
Parking: Alternative to the small Stadium car park, there is plenty of parking in the city centre, which is just a 10 minute walk from the ground.
By Rail: Sunderland train station is just a 15 minute walk from the Stadium.
Trivia
Sunderland's football ground featured in the 2000 film, 'Purely Belter', which centres on two teenagers love of Newcastle Unites, Sunderland's main rivals. The film shows two teenagers who get tickets to a Sunderland vs Liverpool match, thinking they were for a Newcastle United match.
