Trivia
Coventry were the first ever leaders of the Premiership back in 1992. They were also the first ever leaders of the newly named Championship, albeit only on goal difference.
On 01/09/1979, 18 year old 'keeper Steve, Murcott played for the reserves in the morning. Jim Blyth was injured whilst warming up for the first team later that day, so Murcott stepped in to also play in this game. Coventry ran out winners in both of these matches.
