By Car (From South): Leave the M6 at Junction 25. Take the A49, heading to Wigan. In two miles, you'll pass an Aldi store. Turn left at the next large traffic light controlled roundabout onto Robin Park Road. The ground is down this road and on your right.
By Car (From the North): Leave the M6 at Junction 26, following the signposts for Wigan Town Centre. Turn left into Robi Park when you get there. The ground is down this road and on your right.
Parking: There is a large car park behind the Away End, but this gets very busy after the matches.
!WARNING! Please avoid parking on the nearby retailpark as a strict maximum of 2 hours parking is abided by on matchdays. !WARNING!
By Rail: Both of Wigan's train stations (Wigan North West and Wallgate) are about a 20 minute walk from the ground.
Trivia
David Whelan disputed £300,000 worth of bills for plicing costs. It got to the point that on 07/03/2005, the police announced that they would stop policing matches as of 02/04/2005 unless the bills were paid. This would have meant that Wigan Athletic would have had to have played their home games infront of an empty stadium for losing their Safety Certificate. On 08/03/2005, they came to an agreement with the police, allowing them to continue as normal until the end of the season. Four months later, knowing he would lose his battle, Dave Whelan finally stumped up the cash, allowing the fans into the stadium for the 2005-2006 season.
